Thank you all for the sigs, now I need a new designer for my site!

Hey guys and gals, thank you so much for all the great sigs you sent me. There are really some talented people out there.

I have another favor to ask. I need to redesign my web site so that it looks more professional. I did the recent design myself but I do not have the graphics knowledge to take it to that next level. I am not asking this for free, if you are professional, or think you have good design skills I am more than willing to pay.

I suppose you know what you're doing, but I don't understand why you think your site needs a redesign at all. Your design is simple and clean (at least on the "tour" pages... I don't have a membership). The "look and feel" of the site is consistent from page to page. There's enough on the pages to make them interesting, without looking cluttered. From my point of view, it's pretty damn good design.

(One problem I do see is that you seem to have a picture from your members section on the main tour page, which can't be loaded without a password, but I that's just a tiny bug.)

I've seen a lot of models' websites, and offhand I can't think of any that were better-designed than yours. (Some that were "as good", but none that were "better") Of course, I'm only looking at the free areas. Maybe the members section is a steaming pile of garbage, but everything I can see looks great.

So, do You Mind if I ask what you think is missing?

I started doing web design when I started in the adult business, but now I just do not have the time to take my skills further. I have been told be some that yes, they like my site. But then I am told by many professionals that my site will never make it big because of the "black background" I use with white font.

So in conclusion, I just think a better job can be done and a better quality web site can be presented to my fans.

i do agree the black and white is "cheesy"...you usually don't want a dark background like that. not good

I'm just trying a few sigs out... the other one was a bit small I think. The font I used is called Faceplant and I got it free from http://www.freemacfonts.com which is obviously only fonts for Macs, although they do have a few links to PC fonts. A good one to try is http://www.typedifferent.com - Some free fonts for ya there, including the one that Radiohead used for their Kid A album!

I think the reason that you think your site looks "cheesy" is probably because you're the one who made it. Most people are pretty harsh when it comes to judging their own work. If the people who visit your site are telling you they like it, then I think that's who you should listen to, not the professionals.

Also, let me say that I think a lot of people find a model's website much more appealing when they know that it's designed and maintained by the model herself. The "personal touch" reassures people that they're not wasting their money: If you care enough to design your own website, you're more likely to update the site regularly, have frequent cam chats, answer email, etc, etc, etc.

I guess what I'm saying is that you could probably get more value just by making it clear on your site that you designed it yourself, rather than spending money on a "professional" design.

Anyway, that's just my two cents. I think you've got a great site regardless.

Hi rebecca. I just took a look at the site. I tend to agree with some of the other posts and I feel that it is just fine. I mean you could just change the background and the type color , but in the end I do not think it is that big a deal. I think in your case promotion is what will make or break your site. I do do some design work, but I am also busy with my own website and a full time job so.............I checked the links to make sure they work and they are fine. I say put your cash toward advertising for the site.
