The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
A police officer was put on desk duty after pulling over an NFL player rushing to see his dying ******-in-law in the hospital and holding him in the hospital parking lot as she died.
Dallas police officer Robert Powell stopped Houston Texans running back Ryan Moats' SUV outside Baylor Regional Medical Center during the early hours of March 18 after Moats rolled through a red light. Moats and his ****** had gotten a call saying his ******-in-law was dying.
Video from a dashboard camera inside the officer's vehicle, obtained by a Dallas-Fort Worth TV station, revealed an intense exchange in which the officer threatened to jail Moats.
On the police video, the officer is heard telling the two of them to get out and put their hands on the car, reports CBS affiliate KHOU-TV in Houson.
Moat's wife, Tamishia, ignored Officer Powell's commands and rushed to see her dying ******. But Moats was detained.
"I've got seconds before she is gone," said Moats, as he tried to explain the urgency of the situation to the officer.
The police officer ordered 27-year-old Tamishia Moats to get back in the SUV, but she ignored him and rushed inside the hospital to see her ******, Jonetta Collinsworth, 45, and was by her side when she died a short time later. She had breast cancer.
The Moatses, who are black, said they can't help but think that race might have played a part in how Powell, who is white, treated them.
"I think he should lose his job," said Ryan Moats, a Dallas native.
Normally, I would be siding with the police officer, but, in this case, they were already in the hospital parking lot, so it's pretty obvious that they're not making up some story about their ****** (in-law) dying. The officer should've let them go and ticketed them later.
But, the thing about this story that I think is bullshit is how race got thrown into the mix. Why does race always get thrown into the mix when a black person deals with a white police officer? Seriously, it's 2009...can't we just let this **** go already?
