Technical issues when searching and/or posting

For the last week, I've been getting alot of errors when searching along the lines of:

This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between searches. Please try again in 983 seconds.

I click on the search link again, and it seems to be OK. Same sort of error when posting too.


Haha, just had it when trying to post THIS thread! - This forum requires that you wait 10 seconds between posts. Please try again in 942 seconds.

Sorry about that. As you have noticed, we've been doing maintenance around the site, and unfortunately, the forum felt the worst of it. Things should be better, but there is still some things still being worked on. It should be smooth sailing very soon!

I also have noticed those same issues. I've also been trying to reply to the 9 millionth post contest. I'm a runner up but every time I try to reply I get logged off when i click on anything and my sent items folder is still showing that I've sent no replys. So either nothing has been sent or 15 replys went out.

Some ***** issues are back when searching/posting. Searching for something brings up the error about waiting 20 seconds (even if 20 seconds has already ******). Hit the button again, it goes up to 22 seconds! Or random jumps to 66 seconds, for example. Hit the button again, and it's fine. Same when trying to post saying along the lines of "you must wait x seconds before posting again" even though it's been more than that since your last post. Hitting post quick reply increases the time delay, and eventually it lets you post. Annoying!
