Suspect in anthrax-letter deaths ***** himself

WASHINGTON - Anthrax-laced letters that ****** five people and severely rattled the post-9/11 nation may have been part of an Army scientist's warped plan to test his cure for the deadly toxin, officials said Friday. The brilliant but troubled scientist committed suicide this week, knowing prosecutors were closing in.

The anthrax mail attacks were almost as bad as the 9/11 attacks. It looks like it was an American who did it.

Once again, FBI failed to identify the real killer. When the anthrax-letter first sent out to the Florida newspaper and subsequently contaminated in the US Postal Office, the FBI jumped the *** and accused Steven Hatfill as the prime suspect. He left the US Army Biological Warfare Research Lab and went to LSU to teach and eventually got fired ! Steven Hatfill sued the US Government and FBI and won.

It was Steven Hatfill's lab partner who actually did all of these. The FBI really screwed up.

Just like the FBI screwed up the Jewel's Olympics Games bombing in 1996 at Altanta. Jewel was actally a wonderful, great guy serving as a private security guy and wrongfully accused. Eventually Jewel also got a settlement from FBI but eventually ****** away.

The issue is nothing, no amount of money, can compensate the psychologically trauma being accused of ******* by the FBI when the FBI fucked up in every case !

Steven J. Hatfill has denied having anything to do with the anthrax letters of 2001. He is shown arriving at a court in 2003.

The settlement, consisting of $2.825 million in cash and an annuity paying Dr. Hatfill $150,000 a year for 20 years, brings to an end a five-year legal battle that had recently threatened a reporter with large fines for declining to name sources she said she did not recall.

Well its nice he got some dough as compensation but I guess my point was I was unaware of that and If I had heard the name like has been mentioned here all I would have recalled is he was the guy they accused of sending the anthrax around.So money or not the damage has been done to him by the FBI as lovejoy ponted out.They should have never made his name public without firm evidence of guilt.

Same as Jewel, the private security guard who eventually ****** away.
