Stupid customer stories

Christmas is upon us, many will be getting electronic gifts, and things needing assembly. You know what that means, support desks all over the world will be getting calls from frustrated customers.

Let me start the joyous story telling:

One fine evening around eight my cell phone rang. The other party was a sales manager on vacation in the Caribbean. She was very frustrated that she wasn't receiving email on her phone. I told her I was here to help, but I would need her to check settings on her phone, so she may want to hang up and call back from another phone. "Oh I don't need to, I'm calling from the hotel phone." she says happily, "Well I'm glad you thought of that as it will save time." was my reply. "Oh I had to call from the hotel phone." she says, "My cell phone doesn't get any signal down here!". "I may know what your problem is ma'am.". :brick:

Do share your inspiring stories of ineptitude for us all to learn from this fine holiday season, the more the merrier!

It was during Christmas week at my department store when a storm came. Lightning hit a transformer in front of the store. The only power we had was a few emergency floodlights. Also a power line blew down onto the chain link fence behind the store. The light from the sparks were so bad the receiving area was lit just through the cracks around the overhead door. The store had to be cleared out. People didn't want to leave, they wanted to finish their shopping even though there was no power at the registers and a transformer on fire right outside. Firemen in full gear carrying axes were getting into arguments with these shit head customers. One of them threatened a lawsuit for interrupting her shopping.
