Streaming Services.

The wife and I are tired of, and no longer in the financial position to pay the outrageous prices that cable companies are charging. So we will be streaming from now on. She has an Amazon Prime account, we have Netflix, but I'm wondering about any of the others, like Sling, Hulu, and who knows how many others.

Anybody out there care to clue me into what might be the one. I really only watcher the 2 FX channels, and Reelz, Comedy Central, and Oxygen Network. Cartoons and serial killers, I'm starting to wonder about my own damn self.

Disney+ is a big one you might want to consider. Shows like the Mandalorian (and the newly released BOBF) are shows that everyone is talking about.

The question is, how many of these services can you get before you're back in the same position of paying the same amount you were for cable?

Well I appreciate your response, but I am far from a sci fi fan...except for Futurama. Can you tell me if they have Reelz, or FX, or Oxygen Network. I'm more into Archer, or South Park, musician and band documentaries, and things about the universe, or crime stuff.
I still have only scene the 3 original Star Wars, and never watched Star Trek. And to my wife's disbelief and amazement, I have never seen any of the God Father movies, and I'm Sicilian.

If you're an FX fan you should get Hulu. Most FX shows are available next day on Hulu (Archer, What We Do in the Shadows, etc).

I figured that, but I'm new, so I don't know if they might do it, a week later, somewhere else, etc. In fact, I don't think they even have Family Guy on Netflix anymore, but it's all over FX on cable, so I'm guessing it's now archived at Hulu. And thanks for the help.

Disney+ does have the odd (but good) nature documentary, but if you're not into superheroes, Disney or sci-fi, you're not going to get the benefit for your money.
I think Netflix is your best bet for what you're looking for, but maybe you can look into a VPN (if you haven't already) and expand your selection?

We have Netflix, and Amazon Prime already. Based on what I'm hearing, if I add one, it's going to likely be Hulu, so I can get my FX shows. But I still have to check into Sling. It's got a link on my TV, so I might as well.

I can't believe how bummed out I am, without my instantaneous gratification, of turning on the cable, and getting what I'm used to watching, when I want to. I miss seeing that episode of South Park, I've only scene 15 times before. I need rabbit ears, and a knob to change channels, and turn it on. Bubb knows about those T.V.'s, Gmase too.

But do you use a VPN? Because that will really increase your Netflix selection. Plus you get the benefit of securing your internet connection, and it cost less than one of those streaming services that you're looking at.

I finally got Hulu, and I'm pretty happy with the selection, considering we went with the least expensive option. I just doing cartwheels over the fact I finally get to see "The Venture Bros.", and "Archer", from E1S1 to the last, in order, I didn't know I was going to get Rick and Morty either, so woo hoo for me!

Nice. Just by your avatar I can imagine how happy you must be about R&M.
Now if we can just get them to release a new season...

I thought I heard there was a multi year commitment, but it takes them forever to do a single episode. Seems like a 2 year span, for a 10 episode season.
