Streaming or Downloadable Porn?

How would you rather watch porn? Flash streaming, where you can skip the long buffer process and be able to fast forward to different scenes without a wait. Or would you rather download, keeping the vid but it could take 5-30+mins to download depending on your connection?

I like to have the choice between these two options...

because it really depends on my mood and other things...

Sometimes I want to download it and sometimes I just want to watch it immediately.

(So...sites with both options are the best)

That's what streaming does. Downloading takes longer but you get to keep. Like if your in the mood to watch it like right now without a wait streaming would be better. If you want to keep and save for later downloading is then better. With streaming you could screen cap still, but it is a little bit of a hassle.

A decent broadband connection is fast enough so the wait isn't long even for large video and I can do something else during that period of time. Once I've begun to watch, I too don't have the patience to watch every second of a video and like to immediately be able to skip to any section.

With instant flash streaming, which we use on some of our sites, you don't buffer. You just click through the vid without any wait. I'm talking about instant flash streaming h.264 format. It is fairly new and a lot of webmasters may be converting to it.

These are what some are converting to. The first vid is a demo I did for their hosting company before they released flash. It's dorky don't laugh lol

Streaming requires a fixed allocation of bandwidth between the user and the server which can lead to buffering. With download there may be slower load times overall but for the individual user simultaneous playback won't be affected.

Ultimately you should choose the one that works best for you based on the number of users you expect to see (scalability), cost constraints, how you plan to display any advertising, and the need to control any content.

As for what I would prefer as a user - download.

Download for the same reasons Aces & Jacks explained.Maybe if there was no difference in streaming and downloaded play I would see it differently though.But right now with streaming they hesitate and you can't advance as has been mentioned.

Download. I like saving, and during the download I browse the picture section. Pictures dont really do it for me these days so much as video..

So it's sorta like reading the paper on the toilet. You re-acquaint yourself with an old friend. Mmm. Words on paper. How 1800s.
