If you think anything is off the table then I don't think you've been paying attention. Donald Trump is the president of the USA. Let that sink in for a while. The party with zero legislative achievements in the last 8 years has control of the house and the senate. Pretty soon the supreme court is going to be stacked with the most extreme right lunatics they can find, and it was already right enough to repeal part of the voting rights act.
For a long time the right have been focused on reducing the power of the left to zero, by any means necessary, see gerrymandering, voter suppression, and a mind boggling amount of misinformation. The filibuster is pretty much all that's left to the democrats now, and you're insane if you think they're not going to give every effort to taking it away.

I know you had that one locked and loaded and just couldn't wait to get it out, but it doesn't apply here. Whining is what republicans have been doing for the last 8 years. I am watching the dismantling of freedom and democracy in the USA with great interest.

Step 1 - remove the filibuster so that repubs can pass anything they want through the house and senate and straight to Don's desk, where he'll have somebody else read it and give him the general gist of it. Thus the voting majority has zero representation in government.
Step 2 - stack the supreme court with extreme right judges. Thus the voting majority has no representation in the courts.
Step 3 - rewrite the constitution as you see fit.

We've seen what the right were willing to attempt and able to get away with when democrats still had some say, I'd suggest we ain't seen nothing yet. Underestimating the extremes they'll go to has consistently been one of the most frustrating failings of the democratic party. Maybe it will prod the vast majority into not being so fucking useless anymore and you will end up getting that civil war you all want so badly. Take away their legislative and judicial power and it'll be pretty much the only option left.

As I keep saying, there will never be a fair election in the US again, the next 4 years of republican government will guarantee that. Not that this one was fair, since so many states had voter suppression laws in place already.

Step-2 inform an Aussie dipshit that Democrats utilized the "nuclear option" in 2013 that reduced the 60 votes needed to end a filibuster to a simple majority. It also handed the majority to Republicans in 2014.
