Sports gaming, simulations, what-ifs, etc.

This could be a crossover topic with the gaming sub but I wanted to emphasize the sports aspect.

I guess post anything related to the virtual sports world or who would win in any hypothetical matchups.

I remember playing Madden with buddies back in the day and they'd inevitably choose the then Michael Vick-led Falcons (circa 2004) for obvious reasons. I'd use some classic team like the '85 Bears and blitz the fuck out of them with that 46 defense.

Oh, and here's Bruce Lee vs. Conor McGregor in EA Sports' latest UFC 3:

More like Bruce Lee in slow motion.

Bruce Lee seems so out of place. I like the concept and understand it is all what ifs. But still strange to see Bruce Lee in this kind of setting.

Maybe, but Bruce Lee was a street fighter in Hong Kong which is thankfully what sent him our way.

Who knows? I think he would've been all about this and certainly thrived in this setting. He is the father of mixed-martial arts, is he not?

Perhaps. But I wouldn't see him doing it for the money or anything. And he hated training others. Sadly we will never know what he would think of the UFC.

He left his mark is what we do know. Everything else is personal interpretation and opinion.

Madden NFL 19

I started a career franchise as a rookie head coach Kliff Kingsbury and have brought the college Air Raid offense over from Texas Tech (lots of mesh routes). Going to try to build this team around rookie QB Josh Rosen and get back to the Super Bowl within 5 seasons.

Here Rosen throws his first career TD pass (after almost throwing his first INT):
