Spike Lee to direct "Oldboy" remake?

:nono:
No I don't. I have seen Infernal Affairs. It was great. Not once during watching it did I think it would be improved by being remade.

I'd give it a chance, if I were you. The Departed actually is a very good remake. But then again, I wouldn't compare it to the original. It's a somewhat different movie in many points.

It's not like there are no good remakes out there. If you can get yourself to watch a remake without bias, you'd find that some are pretty good. But like I said, I still don't need an Oldboy remake with Will Smith in it. I wouldn't need a Ghostbusters remake with Robert Pattinson just because he is popular at the moment. Some things just won't work.

******?
Brilliant response. You say its "not needed." & "won't be as good" but you will still watch it!!
Well done for contributing to the success of all these shitty yank remakes!

I didn't say I'd pay to watch it though, did I?

Why stop at Will Smith? Throw in Nicolas Cage, Shia LaBoef and hey, David Hasselhoff

Why does Hollywood feel they must remake every movie there is? Leave the original alone, there is no improving on it.
