From my personal experiences no I am not joking. I will qualify that by saying that I do not consider gun collectors or dealers to be part of that group.

Your examples are about groups of soldiers coming to people's doors, removing them and taking them to prisons. How is an individual with a handgun going to stop that? This is the stupidest fucking argument against gun control I have ever seen. Gun control works. Ask South Korea. Guns are almost totally outlawed and they have almost zero major crime. ZERO!!!

The gist of the video is about the LEADERS of those countries who implemented gun bans. It's NOT about armies taking it upon themselves to disarm their fellow countrymen. They get their "marching orders" from the leader of said countries.
If you can't understand a simple theme, please avoid spouting off about things you know nothing about.

I am talking about people who think that the right to bear arms means being able to own an arsenal of weapons. Own a few firearms for your protection, fine. Mix it up, have a couple of pistols and a shotgun. But don't tell me that you need 15 shotguns 5 pistols and Haskins to protect yourself. Collecting and dealing in vintage or rare weapons is understandable but I am totally against people owning automatic or semi-automatic rifles.
A hunter doesn't need more than 3 shotguns. Real hunters hunt with bows anyway.

Well said zdenka. And, let's not forget... once the LAW ABIDING citizen (oops, I mean subjects) give up their guns, who then will ONLY have guns? Yup, that's right... the Police, the Politicians and the wealthy who say they require their body guards to be armed, and last but not least... the criminals who don't obey any laws at all.
So that leaves the law-abiding citizen (damn, there I go again) I mean the Subjects (let them eat cake) to be the only ones unarmed.

Yes, I agree, Dirk. However, most EVERYTHING talked about on the interhighwaysupernetweb ends up going in circles. Healthy discussions are good. I just hope we can keep the discussions civil.
Remember... I'm not advocating that EVERYONE has to own a gun. I'm just saying, don't tell me I can't own guns. Wouldn't that be like saying, "You can't marry that black woman.. that just isn't right!"
Or, "You can't be gay and get maried, that will cause all kinds of trouble."
Or, "How dare you speak out against the president.. you should be thrown in jail!"

I am a conservative who supports second amendment rights. But there needs to be limits on how many and what type of firearms people can own. I do not believe the framers intended for individuals to stockpile massive amounts of weaponry.
