SNL season premiere bombs: Lowest ratings in 47-year history

The last time I watched an entire 90 minute episode of SNL was when Dave Chappelle hosted. The only funny skits were the ones Dave did most of the writing and input. SNL has good openings and does politics well but there are so many dead spots in the show making it hard to get through to the end. No real edge to the show anymore as it relies more on safer low hanging fruit which makes the writing staff look timid and lazy.

Some of their best stuff in the past 4 years was based on trump. The irony of him not getting re-elected being detrimental to the show is delicious.

Another cry out for attention unless Kim has comedy chops I’m unaware of. After tonight Steven Seagal will look like Steve Martin as far as SNL hosts go.

Why are they using "prop guns" capable of ****ing people? Isn't that literally a deadly firearm at that point? And why would you trust an actor with that instead of a stuntperson?
