http://www.kintera.org/site/apps/ka/ct/contactcustom.asp?c=feIJKQMEF&b=4366279

Rove has commited multiple crimes against the people of the United States and should be prosecuted and when found guilty jailed like we used to do to such people as in watergate.Presidents might be able to escape justice but the Roves of the world shouldn't.How many scandles has Rove been implicated in,lots.Valarie Plame, the firing of the US attorneys, the lies about Iraq, this one and probably several more I am forgetting.

Sign the petition!!!

I read they are doing very well getting signatures and it may very well lead hopefully to action against Rove.

He is (was) the Rasputin of the Bush administration. The thought of him possibly walking away from this makes me sick. I gladly signed the petition....wish I could sign it again and again. This motherfucker needs to be in jail where he rightfully belongs. What he did to Governor Siegelman is beyond reprehensible.

Karl Rove should be jailed based on his quote about Obama.

Even if you never met him, you know this guy. He’s the guy at the country club with the beautiful date, holding a martini and a cigarette that stands against the wall and makes snide comments about everyone who passes by.

The irony here is that Rove said this at his country club where Obama would not qualify for membership for lack of wealth. Who’s the elitist here?

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
What about bush? He's committed countless crimes against humanity. Genocide being the main one!

Does anyone think he would actually see a day in jail?
Bush would pardon him as would/will the next Republican to take office.

**** to say it but many who now serve/served in this office will be untouchable to ANY kind of charges.

Yeah, but the open door policy with respect to "******* aliens" exempts him from any wrongdoing in the mid east. Funny how that works

the government has never listened to any petitions or protests before, what makes you think they will start now?

they are supposed to be upholding the law because they swore an oath to protect it, if that isn't good enough motivation to do so, then I don't know what is.

when the secretary of the under secretary of the white house official spam screener gets the petition you might be hopeful enough to have them read half the title before hitting "delete."

Sure they have.Protests and civil action were vital elements in the civil rights movement, ending the war in vietnam and somehow the govt found a way to not let Nixon and crew get away with watergate.Masses of people cannot be ignored by any form of govt.

ending the Vietnam war? gimme a break. that would be like if we left Iraq tomorrow, and people tried to attribute it to the anti-war movement. I don't call it a victory for the people to have the government ignore popular opinion in policy for five years or more.

If they do anything it's because they want it to be done, not because the people want it. They left Vietnam because there was nothing more to do there but stick around and get shot at. If they really listend to the people they never would have been there in the first place.

Well we have to just agree to disagree. But I lived through it.Nobody was against vietnam initially but by 66 -67 the protests were gaining strength.LBJ asked "why have the ******** of america turned against me?" as he looked out the window of the oval office and saw the protesters. That was the reason LBJ decided not to run in 68.
One of the things you hear a lot about Iraq is people say lets not do what happened in vietnam which is allow the people at home to loose the war for us by not supporting it.Not that we could have won vietnam anyway, they were fighting for the freedom of their country we were fighting to show the commies we would fight. But having lived through it no doubt in my mind if people at home had supported the war it would have went on much longer than it did.

I'm with Friday on this one. While it often takes time for results to be seen (or fully understood) I believe public opinion can be highly influencial. Current anti-war sentiment lacks, for a few reasons, some of the characteristics of the Vietnam era peace movement; but in both cases the dynamic impacted politics and policy.

I could draw one up for many ...

I could draw one up for many.

At least a dozen people associated with the Clinton, Bush and Reagan administrations, each, come to mind.

Again, this is "political alignment" at its finest, ignoring some people while focusing on others.

"House panel votes to cite Rove with contempt "

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080730/ap_on_go_co/rove_contempt;_ylt=AkSQfkhS81TY2epp.t3a_SdI2ocA

WASHINGTON - The House Judiciary Committee has voted to hold former White House strategist Karl Rove in contempt of Congress for ignoring a subpoena to testify.

Voting along party lines Wednesday, the committee said Rove broke the law by failing to appear at a July 10 hearing on allegations of White House influence over the Justice Department, including whether Rove encouraged prosecutions against Democrats.
The committee decision is only a recommendation, and it was unclear whether Speaker Nancy Pelosi would allow a final vote.

Rove has denied any involvement with Justice Department decisions, and the White House has said Congress has no authority to compel testimony from current and former advisers."

At least some are trying to make him account and testify.Bush is unreal with this claim that none of his people can be subpoened.
