As an european, i have no primary interest in the next choice on who will become (or remain) president of the USA.

For sheer entertainment value, the abomination that is Palin would be genius, istead of the obamination :1orglaugh who runs the country now

But the whole world gets effected by decisions and acts from the White House, so Palin would be a bad choice.

Would be nice to witness the campaign, and see the vote burn down when the votes come in

She would be the best candidate the Democrates could wish for. Saves a shitload of campaign money :hybrid:

He was never a maverick. What's he got? McCain-Feingold? If either of the two were Mavericks it was Sen. Russ Feingold.

McCain was deemed a Maverick and special because he bashed fellow Republicans during the 2000 primary.


Who made him a media darling? The liberals and the MSM (also dominated by liberals) who loved that he bashed people in his own party.

In 2008 he found out that he was getting used. All of a sudden he wasn't a media darling when it got closer to the general election.

I never said he was a good politician, because he wasn't. However, even well before 2000 election he had the "maverick" label by some in Washington. It's hard to remember now because it's been such a long time, but even if McCain was never great he wasn't the sellout to his own party like he is now.

What about our illegal meddling in Libyan affairs under potus obama, didn't he have to consult with Congress first before entering the fray?
