Sectarianism has been a nasty undercurrent in Scotland for a while. The British perpetuated it.in Northern Ireland and their ambivalence to it in Scotland is a dangerous approach to a spiteful cancer.

If you are upset at the Catholic Church or any other church, synagogue, mosque, or Satanic Temple the most foolish thing you could do is vandalize, burn down, or open fire on the congregation. You feed the sickness you are trying to cure making you more powerless and them more powerful. Sympathy is currency that does not depreciate inside an inferno.

Just ask the Israelis as it seems more precious than the mighty Sheckel.

Both happened in Glasgow, so it's likely the same people who conducted both.

The attacks themselves are sickening. Pray any god you want or even don't pray any but leave others pray any god they want. Obviously it qualifies as a hate crime.

But don't try to pretend there's anti-catholic (or even anti-christian) sentiment in Scotland. There's just an anti-christian group in Glagow, that's it.
