Search function not working within threads?

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but when I attempt to do searches similar to ones done on the old site to identify links from some sites (eg. 3movs) to see if certain clips had been posted previously, it seems to come up with no results, even if the search should clearly find some results in the thread.

Is this an issue with the new site's search function? Am I missing something really obvious I should be doing to find a word or part of a url within a thread?

Thanks for the reply, but what I am referring to is actually being in a thread, and doing a search within that thread for something like "3movs". In the past, the search thread option would return each of the posts within a thread that contained "3movs" and you could then click on the result to be taken to that post.

But now if I go into a thread and then choose to search "this thread" (instead of "everything") and choose something like 3movs to search for, no results are returned. The same lack of results seems to occur if you search for a pornstar's name or any other keyword when searching "this thread".

And have you tried the advanced search?
You can always post this problem in the general new board thread in the talk section, it will be easier for us then to keep track of issues.

Mind you, I don't know if this is a real issue or not since the new board uses completely different software than the old board so things are either done differently or options do not exist anymore.

Yeah. It's doing it for me now. It didn't do it as of yesterday. Getting that OOPS... message no matter how I improve the search. May be some gremlins battering about in your mucky-muck. :angrycat:

If you are getting the "oops" message then it should tell you what the problem is directly underneath it. And if you don't understand what it means, post it here. Or a screenshot. Then we can help.

Nope. Now it's fine. So it seems to be doing it, then not...classic case of poltergeist influence. 👻👻
