Bush Whacked
The Slander of President Bush by Liberals

In only his first 5 years in office- President Bush has faced a challenge to his election victory, the terrorist attacks on 9/11, anthrax mailings, two major wars, an international tsunami disaster, a space shuttle disaster, the worst natural disaster in American history. While trying to lead America through these challenges- President Bush has been attacked unmercifully by liberals.

It really is. It’s humiliating.”

Many Presidents during their administration face challenges such as war, a nuclear crisis, the tragedy of a space disaster...
Many will have one or two great challenges. However- few have had to face the challenges of George W. Bush. The list below reflects all happened during the first 5 years of the Bush presidency. The entire premise of this thread is BULLSHIT. People criticize the President all the time and we don't call them racists.

You remind me of the scene in "Enter the Dragon" where Bruce Lee starts punching out all the mirrors so that he can spot the bad guy. Only, instead of Bruce Lee, you're a spasdic retard in a bicycle helmet (Special Ed) beating on the mirrors with his head.

In other words: Good luck with that.

Enron? Enron? Oh yeah, that company where Wendy Gramm (Phil Gramm's wife) served on the Board of Directors after heading the CFTC. Kinda funny how both Phil and John McCain (who picked Phil as his chief economic adviser in 2008) supported the "Enron loophole", while the company was on the verge of imploding. Well, kinda funny in a sick, ironic way... but funny, nonetheless.

As for Moore, I don't care for him. But I don't get the criticism here. If he was a common shareholder in Enron, he lost money.... right? Just like people who were Worldcom or Lehman equity/shareholders. So I'm kind of lost on that one, Will.

As Mayhem has already pointed out, people who criticize Obama on policy, ideology, and similar things, aren't being, and haven't been given the blanket label of "racist" by any rational person. To claim that Obama can only function while in front of a teleprompter, is no more true than claiming that George W. Bush was high on coke when he declared war on Iraq. But neither (false) charge makes one a racist. It might make one an idiot, but that's different from being a racist. Now, we had a guy on our sports car board who popped up after the 2008 election and said "I woke up this morning and a coon was President of my country!!!" Probably not to Sam (or those of his ilk), but we considered that racist and the members vote on bannings there. So, he is no longer with us.

Sam, in his typical, paranoid, whiny-ass fashion, just wants something else to cry about. Just another straw-man ploy. You need to stop playing with him, Will. If he ever tries to touch you in a naughty place, don't say that you weren't warned. :nono:

It was Haliburton. :D

Moore is a hypocrite for owning shares of Haliburton.
Just more proof he is a liar and deceiver.

Bush/Cheney were unmercifully criticized by the liberals, because they were evil, greedy, self serving assholes...just like the Obamas, and the Clintons...and the Reagans, and daddy Bush.

Hmmm....seems to be a pattern here.

While I don't agree that obviously everyone accuses you of being racist if you're not an obama supporter ..... I can certainly tell you that it happens often, regardless of what you may or may not think. It's honestly the automatic response for some people if you don't support him. Again, probably not the more rational people, but it does happen quite a bit.

While I can't say that Bush was the greatest president, he definetely had his fair share of obstacles to overcome and the hypocracy of the media in the way that they have labeled Bush in situations exactly the same as they occur today is crazy. Example .... when gas shot up when Bush was president , he was in bed with big oil. It shoots up with Obama in office .... and the president has no control over oil prices. Really ???

So, the gist of this is that you want to say shit about Obama without any reaction? If I recall correctly anytime I had something less than flattering to say about Dubya there were plenty of crybaby conservatives right there to whine about it.

http://news.yahoo.com/media-favored-romney-over-obama-040100208.html
During the bruising Republican primaries, there was one candidate whose coverage was more
relentlessly negative than the rest. In fact, he did not enjoy a single week where positive treatment
by the media outweighed the negative.

His name is Barack Obama.

That is among the findings of a study by the Project for Excellence in Journalism, a Washington
nonprofit that examined 52 key newspaper, television, radio, and Web outlets.

From Jan. 2 through April 15, Romney’s coverage was 39 percent positive, 32 percent negative,
and 29 percent neutral, the researchers found. Obama’s coverage was 18 percent positive,
34 percent negative, and 34 percent neutral. That means Romney’s depiction by the media was
more than twice as positive as the president’s. So much for liberal bias.

I don't see hypocracy here ...The fact is that Bush was/is in the pocket of big oil...so when oil price fixing became an issue, Bush took criticism and blame because he was down with big oil helping them to further profit at the expense of the consumer...

However, Obama is NOT down with big oil, he has aggressively fought oil price-fixing and artificial price inflation,,,and even more, he has based a large part of his agenda on attempting to wean americans from their addiction to oil by stimulating the research and development of alternative "clean" renewable energy sources.

Because he defies the interests of big oil for the consumer, he is constantly attacked in every way they can think of by Big Oil and their Republican advocates ...race is a common tactic used by Republican politicians because they are racist anyways, and a black man named "Obama" is seemingly and easy target for them.

But in actuality its a poor strategey .... Alluding to race in any way shape or form only results in further compromising their interests .

eric, maybe this will make some sense of it all for ya.

Each time I fill up my vehicle, the cost makes my head spin as fast as the price on the gas pump. Perhaps my head spinning is adding to my confusion over gas prices. As I watch TV and listen to the radio, I hear President Barack Obama say there is nothing he can do about gas prices. I think that's true, but I remember when gas prices were rapidly increasing near the end of the Bush years, the media was on his back.

Politicians were calling for investigations, saying that George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were in Big Oil's pockets. But Bush was able to do something about lowering prices. He opened up several federal areas for exploration and drilling. Gas prices dropped like a barrel going over Niagara Falls.

Obama inherited those below-$2-a-gallon prices from Bush, and here we are 3 years later approaching those same prices that the news media was all over Bush for. Why is the media not giving it to Obama like they gave it to Bush? I believe the average American can see right through this deception. Obama could do something about gas prices, but he's done the opposite. Fewer leases on federal lands. He closed the areas that Bush opened up. He won't approve the Keystone pipeline.

This is a president who is talking out of both sides of his mouth. He says that gas prices are controlled by a world market. Weren't gas prices controlled by a world market during the Bush years?

It's true that we need to look at other sources of energy, but those other sources cannot do now what oil does. Let's put our money toward proven technologies that support the type of industry and lives that we need and lead.

My opinion here is not the result of listening to any one form of media, my opinion is based on common sense. Come on, Mr. President. It's time for you to use some common sense.

I thought the republicans bashed the Democrats and the Democrats bashed the Republicans. If "your guy" is in office and someone bashes him, you say "Hey show more respect for the President of the United States!". No?

Leftists can't take criticism. When confronted with it they call for the suppression of opposite views.
