Oh come on with the "you Americans" stuff. He's enormously popular (most-listened-to radio talk show host) and wields enormous influence. He's bound to be a subject of conversation. I'm not really sure what your beef is. I don't think he's the anti-Christ. That's actually a concept that I don't consider to be valid, so I guess nobody is. Limbaugh's followers typically think President Obama is the anti-Christ, on the other hand...

If I had to put my finger on it.. which I feel I must.. post-assrape anger. I hope he ends up leading the republican party. That's one way to make sure they never gain power again. He is a divisive asshole who thinks allegiance to a political philosophy is more important than the welfare of the country. They don't call his followers "dittoheads" for nothing....those who blindly follow this charlatan are incapable of thinking for themselves. A scary phenomenon that has gone on way too long.

He isnt a 'sure thing' for failure. He's a sure thing for dangerous times. A figurehead who talks and talks and convinces and brainwashes... that's never a safe thing. It's an enemy of the people who should be put down like a feral mutt lest they find a cult following (or a large marketshare of the listening audience) before something dangerous happens. You dont stoke a fire until it pops in your face. You dont hype the '90s woodstock crowd until they riot, you dont do these things in times of trouble when people arent just looking for answers, they're praying and demanding them. A man who lost his job, home and paycheck is a man with nothing to lose. Band together a thousand or a million of those and you have a revolution or at least a bunch of assholes looking to storm the white house with sheer numbers and off who they consider the source of all their problems. I have an intense dislike of Rush and it’s the result of listening to him for twenty years. I can’t listen to him for more than a half an hour or I’ll throw up. The thing that bothers me most is that he pontificates with out anybody there to counter his rants. He never debates with anyone of substance for that would make him look bad. I don’t count the screened callers on his show who get on the air because they are inarticulate. Here’s a video of what happens when he gets oppositions.
