RTS Strategy Game - Arab Spring - Appealing?

Any fans of RTS Strategy games around here? I really like games like Command & Conquer and it struck me, watching the news around Libya, how cool it would be if there were an RTS strategy game based around the same idea - building a movement to bring down an established dictator starting with basically nothing.

Depending on whether you were playing in Easy, Medium, Difficult or Horrible mode, You Might start off with a defecting general to lead a small but significant squad that had some battle experience - or You Might start off with a tiny group with no experience. In the beginning you'd fight overwhelming odds and have to make all kind of tactical decisions and decisions about what kind of forces you would need to start out with - is it better to have a spy-catcher to catch the spies & assassins that the regime would use to wipe you out quickly or have a diplomat to get help from the outside - like NATO.

I can develop this more, but wanted to see if the idea had any interest - or if there were already games like that out there.

the propaganda news system is getting to you dude. :drama:

however, i understand the attraction to a middle eastern themed red alert type clone. i like middle eastern type stuff, but not really war games, especially modern ones.

but i think... tiberian sun was based in a desert.

TS was probably the last great C&C, then it was corrupted by EA.

Arab Springs

Arab countries are giving lesson in democracy to Western countries, which ultimately only make lesson of intolerance and disrespect for civil rights
