That is actually a good question. I hope they are watching mine! That's what it's there for. Maybe if all the votes could also turn into memberships... that would make my day even more!
For me both and I always go if I just talked to the girl, I'm sure to go look up her porn stuff hehehe, which is easy being on here but I'll go search for vids and things online etc. Also some in the contest I was friends with and also I already knew some while not having gotten a chance to talk to them but this year by participating in the forums have been to talk them like Miss Hybrid and have found new discoveries like you, Mandy Flores, Briana Lee, etc.
I do watch the porn of someo f the girls I vote for and there's also some other girls whom I don't.
But I think that, for some categories, loking to the porn they do or not is not very important : Particulary for Best OCSM (it's more the girl's activity on the board) and Best Adult Model (I'd say it's more about how good the girl looks rather than what she does).

A bit of both. I have been a member of Harley's site and am a current and long time member of Miss Hybrid's. Others I have purchased videos and all I haver seen pictures sets of. Mainly I am voting for those that I have interacted with over the years and who are regulars on the board. But that is my own criteria. Others can vote using whatever criteria they want.
Up until the 1st Miss FreeOnes, I had not interacted with the OCSMs here much at all, but that really changed at that point. To a certain extent that changed the way that I thought of porn stars/adult models, realising that there were real people behind the bodacious bodies. That they had brains and personalities and I have enjoyed this site much more because of it.
People will always vote for those that they feel they know over those that they have no attachment to.

I've definitely had plenty of people from FO watch me on cam, especially when I've done cosplay shows.
There are people that interacted with me from here before I even posted on the forum. I've also had ridiculously loyal, generous site members from here.
That's the great part of the Miss FreeOnes contest, it drives such a huge amount of traffic to the site and to our pages.. which also makes me happy that people have to vote from our direct modeling pages now. It's especially neat to me to see how much the rankings of all the ladies in Most Underrated have changed, because it really is giving us a little more "attention".
Though I noticed people mentioning a few ladies that didn't have many free links, and I don't either. Which makes me wonder if we're allowed to host our own free galleries that link back to FO, so I can add more free links of myself. I can't really think of a proper way to do this other than to make "gallery" like posts on my blog.. not sure if that's allowed, or if there's some place to host our own? I've been here long enough that I should already know, which is my fault!

I watch their material with a caveat that I just can't afford to watch everything from everybody I vote for. It's nothing personal as much it's something I just can't always do. I think I have stuff I bought of a good portion of them though. The good OCSMs here I do give a huge bonus to, although it also isn't everything. I also take where I think they are in the industry in general into account based on my personal opinion. It also helps that I think a lot of the people I vote for are very underrated even the ones outside the Most Underrated category.

Petra, just out of curiosity — how is the traffic from Twitter this year to the website vs Twitter site traffic last year?
I'm just curious because a lot of my favourites who have followings of +200,000 people on Twitter, are not participating even though they were nominated to participate by yourself to begin with. They are not sharing out links to their Freeones Babe Page which I assume is the reasoning behind the change in voting format this year, correct? At the beginning of the competition did FreeOnes seek out all nominees and tweet their Freeones Babe Page link at them? Because as I said in a previous thread, there were retired girls nominated for their respective categories and far more popular models who are indeed active who weren't included at all. This is not a dig at how you run your contest, I'm just trying to rationalise how it works.
While it's great that the established OSCMs are topping out all the categories; I dare say it has become somewhat of an echo chamber in here. Miss Freeones was/is about all models and all facets of the website; not just the OSCMs, hence the existence of "Best OSCM" category to begin with.

Christy Mack wasn't some unknown that won and ran away with the check. When we ran MissFO, she was already shooting loads for all the big sites and already was in the top 100 and a rising star.
Here's the thing people don't think about. Just because you don't like a particular girl (such as grannies), there's 10 people that do. That's what makes FreeOnes go round and that's what keeps us here. Of course, if you want to go run your own contest please be my guest!

I'll have to check twitter traffic but it did increase last time I looked. ;-)
The past 4 years girls had to register so they were involved. However, we decided to try something new this year at the request of quite a bit of people. Run a true Miss FreeOnes contest and enter as many of the popular, active babes as possible so we did (of course, it was tons of work weeding out who was retired...I don't think our database has been so updated!). So, hopefully for girls who are in the contest and didn't know about it, the publicity and fans will get word to them. ;-)
Is the way we did it this year perfect? Of course not, but it's different to the past 4 and you have to keep evolving and take some risks.

I think the "perfect" voting system for this competition doesn't exist 'cause come want the "big names"(Lisa Ann, Jayden Jaymes, Nicole Aniston, Tori Black, etc.) to win while some other would like the OCSM to win.
Anyway, when th results will be published, I wish the number ov ovtes every candidate of every categoru received will be as well, at least for the top 10 of each category, so that we can see how things went and if the voting system was fair and balanced of if it was to favorable to OCSM (or big names).
For example if the results are like :
Siri : 1500 votes
Miss Hybrid : 1200 votes
Lisa Ann : 800 votes
Kagney Linn Karter 500 votes
Riley Reid : 200 votes
Then it would obvious that the voting system favors OCSM too much
But if the results are like

I just vote for my favorite girls & for other girls that I think DESERVES IT,
I've recieved (as many of you) PM's from girls to asking for votes, but in my personal opinion those girls is the only thing they can do, because they don't have more to offer, and if they thinks that with their false sweet words they going to convince me, they are very wrong! :notworking: I know there are no rules for it but it's so annoying!!! But because of the way votes count (registered vs unregistered + number of forum posts) there can easily be winners who are more like:
First Place- 1,000 votes
Second Place- 2,000 votes
Third Place- 1,200
.. and it would still make sense.
