Ron Jeremy says video games are worse than porn

Notorious porn star Ron Jeremy let himself down when trying to defend his industry at a CES panel. When deflecting attacks from an anti-porn activist, the adult entertainment star chose not to stand up for pornography on its own merits, but tried to deflect the argument onto a scapegoat, claiming videogames were worse.
"[Studies have] found that violent video games are much bigger a negative influence on ****," claims the man known as The Hegehog. He argued that porn doesn't market itself to ****, therefore shouldn't be considered a problem, completely ignoring the fact that violent games aren't supposed to be for ******** either.

Jeremy insisted that the industry only caters to the over-18 crowd. "We don't want **** to watch porn," he told the crowd. Though if they do, he added, there are far worse influences out there — like video games. "[Studies have] found that violent video games are much bigger a negative influence on ****."
Gross, on the other hand, argued that even while the porn industry may not be targeting ******** specifically, the Internet has made adult content nearly ubiquitous.
"The Internet has changed the game completely. What we used to have to work hard to find, you now have to work hard to avoid," Gross said.

Kind of sad to see Ron Jeremy do the same thing that people do to the porn business: point fingers and scapegoat for lack of parenting, ultimately.

We have M-rated games as well as R-rated movies; both are treated differently. It seems M-rated games are to be blamed a lot, while rated-R films are considered harmless and simple movie entertainment.

We have porn films and violent video games; both are blamed by parents for apparently raising their ******** the wrong way while the parents are off doing who knows what.

In the end the parents need to **** up and get a clue and realize what is being brought into their homes and what their ******** can be exposed to, are being exposed to, and what they are surrounding themselves in.

Now we have Ron Jeremy blame violent video games when he seemingly can't stand up for his line of work. What did he expect? I would think he has the argument down to pat by now or able to gracefully get out of it. :dunno:

Either way it is interesting to see how at one time what was persecuted is now doing the persecuting to get out of hot water.
