RIP - Porn Collection

Accidentally screwed up my hard drives...:(.

I had three partitions on my computer, two of them were backed up regularly. The third (the one with the porn!) wasn't backed up very often since I didn't acquire all that much over time.

Well, I screwed up and deleted the backup. Before I realized I did that, I wiped the drive clean. Definitely no way to get it back now.

So there goes about 100GB of really good porn.

my sincerest condolance ... :hatsoff:

Heh! I have the 4th generation of my porn collection (tastes & preferences change a lot). I've deleted one collection accidentally too. Don't need to worry if you know how to download them again.

100 GB are quite a lot, if it is mixed material. If it was mainly videos, it wouldn't be so many.

But ask yourself:

How often do you actually view that stuff?

From personal experiance I can say:

Most of that media has been downloaded and afterwards justs sits there, catching virtual dust.

Usually when we lose something we've been used to hanging on to...usually it's the opportunity we need to replace it with something better.:2 cents:

Think of it this way, you now have 100GB available for some new shit.:glugglug:

Sucks when something you've put a lot of time and effort into just disappears at a click.

I've had 3 collections since I first started using the Internet - The 1st I lost when my computer crashed, the 2nd was left behind when I moved out of my parents house (this was before burners became ubiquitous and certainly before USB Flash drives) and the 3rd I deleted about a year ago after it became too much of a chore to maintain.

Nowadays I just just download what I need when I need it and delete when I'm done with it.

Gotta agree with that one  It becomes a weird situation, I'd say its only about 5% of porn on my drive that I look at more than 2/3 times. So I dumped off about 60mb, although it was voluntary!! :) I'd still be pissed off if I lost it all by accident!

It's always sad when a loved one dies.

I can remember just yesterday how devastated I was when I heard Jimmy Smits had died. I shed a few tears that night I can tell you friends....

:1orglaugh

I'm sure by now you're already downloading as much spunk junk as you possibly can. Some of which will open your eyes to the most disgusting sexual acts known to man ... or woman, it's mostly women in those videos. Stuff that only god himself only knows about.....

Enjoy it

When you are that absorbed by your porn collection and devastated when it is deleted, I think you need to step back and re-evaluate your priorities.

Devastated? More like annoyed :p.

I'd been meaning to go through it and toss a bunch of stuff, I guess that was a more efficient way.

Its just...annoying...I could have accidentally deleted any partition on the computer. I was just lucky it was the porn, not the data.

Yeah, it was about 100GB of mostly movies, saved up over about five years. That ought to tell you how much 'dust' built up in the computer.

i didn't mind losing my porn all that much but when i screwed up my hard drive and lost my game save files, music and movies that i had it's been 2 years and i still can't find some of the things i had downloaded

I lost 60 gigs once, that really sucked, but by then I'd discovered Freeones and now I don't need anything on my hard drives.

great post. some of the stuff i have had i look at later and it does nothing for me. Tastes always vary.

I feel for you! I lost 20 gigs last year but since then I've changed to watching all my porn online rather than with saving them.
