RIP Peaches Geldof - Dead at age 25!

Wow this sad news! Don't know much about Peaches Geldof, but it's shocking when someone dies so young.

Not knowing who Peaches is, or was, I see no reason her passing is so much worse than the thousands of American and European military who die each year who are 25 and younger.

Is it her name that makes it different? 'Cause her Daddy's famous?:dunno:

I pretty much agree with that and applies to every; "X has passed away -thread". I mean no disrespect to her family and those who were personally close to her, too bad for them. But if I suddenly started to care about random people dying, people who I've never met in real life, who I've never heard of before, who I've never even talked to or even seen, who does not even know I exist and who doesn't even care if anyone of you exist. Don't you think I should start worrying first about some poor African kids dying like flies every time I blink my eyes? I'd probably end up locked up in a nice private round room with softened white walls...

Wise up. Passing condolences is hardly something wrong. The girl had issues - her Mum dying when she was 11. She had kids of her own.
As for US troops - of course that's sad. No comparison.
