He was a great man! Besides the magazine he supported the civil rights movement, antiwar movement, innocence project, etc. In LA he did a lot to preserve old movies, theaters, and the "Hollywood" sign. With his passing there's only one icon left from WWII to late 60s: Stan Lee.
