This is the reason why freedom loving Americans cannot allow more Republican in Name Only/NeoCon in Practice judges to be appointed to the Supreme Court who are nothing but a bunch of Big Brother Peeping Toms

Right To Privacy Not Guaranteed By Constitution, Says Supreme Court Justice Peeking In Bathroom Window

I read that story thinking it was true. I was like wtf? How can this be real.

Ya gotta realize...the op is quite capable of going off like that, as serious as he usually is about the NeoCon Menace ...whether he realized the Onion article was BS or not, there is no difference in his take on reality.
He is always a satire on a rational person, so anyone thinking he was serious was correct in making that assumption.
Almost every post he has made is just like Tim Allen's fictional TV Show...Tool Time!

"Justice Alito was not available for further comment as Daltry had suddenly returned home and exercised her constitutionally protected Second Amendment rights."

So privacy may not be guaranteed but the right to keep and bear arms is

Which one would you prefer? The right to privacy or the right to keep and bear arms? I take the right to keep and bear arms and let's see what happens if anyone tries to peek into my windows.

Pretty funny.

Sadly, there was a case here in NoVa jsut about a month ago where a guy was arrested for making coffee in his OWN KITCHEN naked.

What is the world coming to when you can't brew java in your home sans clothes?

It's amazing, there is a large group of people who want the government to take care of them, provide them a job, provide them a house, provide day care for their kids, provide transportation for them, and provide health care to them but yet their so worried about their privacy.

I believe should have the right to privacy to a certain extent as long as nothing illegal is being done. But then again, i'm one of those people who doesn't want the government to provide everything for me.

There's a woman in New York who claims to be an "artist". She uses big lenses to take pictures of people in their apartments: nude, having sex, whatever she can capture. She distorts their faces and makes the buildings look different when she publishes the pics. I thought that was against the law - but she's still doing it. Now she's making plans to use high powered microphones to listen in on people in apartments and condos. That's going to be art too, I suppose.

The thing with the guy you're talking about was just retarded. That woman was walking around the neighborhood with her kid at like 5 something in the morning. If she hadn't been peeping, she'd have never seen him. If she'd been a guy, my guess is the arrest would have gone the other way. I never heard what happened with that case though.

Re: Right To Privacy Not Guaranteed By Constitution, Says Supreme Court Justice Peeki

This is one problem with a Constitution , it lists your rights and everything not on the list becomes a grey area.
My understanding is that anything that can be detected or sensed from a public place is in the public domain so long lenses are OK.You clearly don't need permission to photograph anybody in public (though it may be a courtesy) because if you did you would hardly be able to take any pictures at all!
