I'm watching his Karl Pilkington show and it occurs to me tat this guy is full of shit. His humour revolves entirely around picking on people he perceives to be stupider than him.
He apparently has never even considered that there may be people more intelligent than him who refrain from treating him thus because they're smart enough to be kind (and enlightened self-interest; afraid of the next brain up the chain).

I mean really, I've seen his humour and I always think of it as wanker humour. Anyone else know what I mean?

Here in the States HBO airs The Ricky Gervais show and it is so funny. I watched every episode and I hope they pick up the show because it is hilarious. I love it when Ricky ridicules Karl especially when he makes fun of the shape of Karl's head. In Ricky's defense Karl does say some really stupid things as seen in the clip below. The link takes you to the Inbetweners which is fucking awesome btw! They aired the first two series on BBC America last year and I can honestly say that it is the funniest show I have seen in a long time. Hopefully we will get season 3 sooner rather than later. :hatsoff:

He'd probably agree, I think he tries to do it. It's his use of strong sarcasm that helps.

I think he is funny, if you look back at The Office it was great. Trouble is, he's always just playing the same character over and over. Maybe he should stick to writing instead of acting.

I've seen the show a couple of times - I have a feeling it might have been funnier without the visuals on radio where it's supposed to be because it doesn't elicit many laughs out of me in its current format. I do tend to think the guy they make fun of (Karl) plays up his stupidity somewhat for comical effect

Although it does occur to me that as a viewer this fact is probably supposed to be obvious - if it is indeed the case. If so please excuse my ignorance.

I was thinkin the exact same thing but didn't know how to put it into words, I guess the TV show Friends done the same by putting in unrealistically stupid/crazy characters like Joey and Phoebe who's actions or dialogue were often the source of much of the shows comedy.
