The French team are accused of plotting with driver Nelson Piquet Jr to crash in the race to deploy the safety car.

The incident aided Piquet's team-mate Fernando Alonso, with the Spaniard going on to claim victory.

If found guilty, the team face severe sanctions which could include expulsion from the current F1 world championship.

yet another reason not to watch the sorry excuse for racing that has become F1.

what the fuck you lookin at?
wow...they must have paid Piquet a whole fuck load of money to throw away his pride and any chance of winning by crashing on purpose. I would think if your a race car driver the pride alone from winning would be worth more that the purse. Guess thats not the case for everyone sadly. Money still runs the world...

piquet jr was never, ever in danger of winning anything, and he has lost his job this year due to his inability to consistently score points

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I wasn't the biggest Nelson Piquet (Senior) fan back in the day, but still I have to respect a 3 time World Driving Champion. And now this great champion has to look at his complete failure of a son, and say to people, "Yeah... that's my boy." :weeping:

Ol' Bernie and Max sure didn't mind putting the screws to McLaren when they were caught cheating. Now Bernie is whining because he's afraid Renault might leave F1 if this is proven against them.

Who wants to bet that the FIA won't find "enough evidence" to fine or sanction the team? They're desperate for Renault to stay in F1, and also Renault badges the GP2 engines. Add to that, the sweaty old perv, Flavor Flavio Briatore, runs the team. I figure Renault is as safe as a baby in his mommy's arms.

Come back Schumacher - all is forgiven
