Can anyone explain to me why it is called the WORLD SERIES.
I am a little confused as to why it is called the WORLD SERIES, as it is not a world sport with other competing nation/countries. I know absolutely nother about baseball and just wondered why.
Like the WORLD CUP in football/soccer it is open to countries all over the world, in baseball it is held in the US and all the teams are from the US.
SO WHY THE WORLD SERIES.
