Does anyone else find all the 'reality' shows on TV fake as 6-foot midget? There's too many to list, all you have to do is tune to TruTV, VH1, MTV, etc to know what I'm talking about. I can never understand why I end up watching some of them. Do you blame the mad scientist for launching a UFO?

Yes,they are pretty much all set up in some sort of way.I mean come on,The Hills or whatever any of those other bullshit shows on MTV are called,use film stock and not video,plus they always cover everything in multiple camera angles.
Film stock,in relation to video,is fucking expensive,so you know that they are putting on "a show" and not just letting whatever happen,happen.If nothing noteworthy happened for them to fill up 1/2 hour,they would be stuck with worthless expensive film.
Moral of the story,it's all bullshit and you shouldn't be watching it anyway.

I agree, I find it laughable that so many people think "reality" shows are reality. They are all staged to some extent.
I just never used to pay attention to them, lately they just seem to flood all the TV channels.
I hate "reality" tv, I feel myself losing brain cells while watching it.
I thought everybody knew they were the same thing. :dunno:

Now VH1 and MTV, oh, no, no, no, no. Watch Parental Control and see the wonderful "natural" conversations that take place. Hell! Screw conversations. Watch the facial expressions.
You will learn a thing or two about truth and bullshit! How to detect it a mile away.

I don't doubt that some of them are. There are some very interesting and dramatic referee/umpire decisions being made. But, sports beat the hell out of wondering which obese person is going to lose the most weight in one week.

I sometimes watch Ice Road Truckers because of the cute little blonde that's on it now (Lisa?). But the one that I used to watch quite often was Deadliest Catch. While they edit the show (like any show), about every season that I've watched, there are dead bodies floating in the water at some point. I never realized what a dangerous job fishing was.
My least favorites are Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock (or whatever it's called) and Big Brother. A friend of mine insists on watching those dopey shows when she comes up for a weekend - I'd never seen either one before this summer. As far as I'm concerned, the Rehab show is nothing more than a scripted infomercial for the Hard Rock in Vegas. And Big Brother looks fake as hell too.
