R.I.P. Sam Butera

I've always enjoyed the music of Louis Prima and Sam Butera. Sam played saxaphone and arranged many of the songs that made Prima famous. The original versions of "Jump, jive and wail," and "Just a Gigolo" never fail to put a little spring in my step and a smile on my face.

Farewell, Sam Butera, we hardly knew ye (and I'm sure in the case of most people here never knew ye).
