Putting On Condom in Porn in the 2000s

So I became obsessed with porn in the 2000s and still mostly watch those scenes. That was when Bangbros and Reality Kings were taking off and both used a lot of condoms in scenes. My biggest pet peeve is they always had the male performer go off camera right before the sex and put on a camera or there was a cut and the condom was magically on. It took a lot of the intimacy out of the scenes to me and I actually liked them putting it on.

Anyone know why they almost always did this off camera or cut it out? And does it bother anyone else?

Funny, it does the opposite for me. a lot of times with random hook ups the guy is putting on a condom. Going off screen or cutting right then brings me back to reality that it's not real. I actually do wonder now if it's more the lube application that they don't want to get for that reason. That's somewhat fair because from my experience girls in the wild get mega offended by using lube.

Yeah I prefer no cut scenes at all so if they have to use condoms I'd rather they just do it on camera...

It also depends on the situation.

• If the guy has never worked with the lady, then sure enough you'll have the guy wearing a condom.
• If the guy has a reputation of playing around, then sure enough you'll have a guy wearing a condom.
• If the guy has periods of premature ejaculation (happens quite often), then sure enough you'll have the guy wearing a condom.
• If the studio is Wicked Pictures, then sure enough you'll have the guy wearing a condom.
