PSN down

PlayStation Network is down, and they say its gonna be for a day or two. some rumors flying around are that its anonymous hackers fuckin everything up because of the recent lawsuits. others say its some problem in Japan. still others say PS is just straight fuckin up.

regardless, id like to be able to play. im outa work for a while, and have nothing better to do. so im kinda bummed.

I'm on vacation next week and have no plans but to get stoned, jack off, watch netflix and play some games. Most likely in that order. Also I bought a $20 PSN card today after work so I could get some more songs for RB3 and come to find out I can't even do that till who knows when. I'm sure they'll have it up by the weekend. At least they better!

I think the only time I've ever seen XBOX Live go down is when they're adding new features. I've seen PSN go down way too often.

EDIT: I just realized that I think you're talking about hackers. I've never seen hackers on XBOX Live but they could be there I guess. I've heard a lot of talk lately about them on PSN though.

Xbox has banned alot of hackers before. but i haven't seen the entire Xbox live being shutdown.

that is the same thing i read. because PSN is free its easier to hack.altough i checked out the PS website and alot of ppl are complaining that PS/PSN should comment on what happened and not just say there are issues to deal with. no comments are just fueling the fire that it was hackers....even if by some chance it really isnt hackers.:dunno:

Awesome vacation lol that's exactly what I did this past week (minus the getting stoned part...gave up the green awhile ago). I'm disappointed with this shit as well. It's Good Friday and nothing is fucking open today (including liqour/beer stores here in Canada) so I've got nothing to do except for play games and play with myself pretty much. Everyone else I know is doing Easter Dinner bullshit (fucking catholics...no offense).

the latest update isnt exactly saying it,but, looks like it is the work of hackers in not so many words.

So I read that PSN could be down for a total of 5 days.This shit really sucks,but it's free,so I guess there's only so much complaining that people can do.

I'm willing to bet that the reason that it's taking so long isn't because that haven't fixed the problem,but because they fixed it,and are working on counter measures to prevent the same thing from happening again.

If there is an update to your system when PSN comes back online,then I'm sure that's the case.

im fine with it,i dont really use PSN that much. although friday my i was talking to my cousin about older video games...stuff for the PSone and he mentioned the original tomb raider and i really,really,really wanted to DL it from PSN and then i get on to find out its down and now i have been itchin' for some OG tomb raider for 3 days now!!

Ii have a lot of friends on PSN,and we vid chat quite a bit.Also,even though I could go through my PC,I use VUDU on my PS3 as well.

Gotta be honest,I still don't quite understand people's fascination with downloading and playing old PS1 games like they never played them before.To each their own,but with so many new games either already out,or soon to come out,I personally don't find any enjoyment out of playing old games that I've already played and finished.

I guess I can understand if you haven't beat a certain game,or haven't played it at all though.
