XBOX 360

Pros:
1) Has my favorite games: Halo series, Gears of War Series
2) No problems with the online servers. PS3 online server was out for the month.
3) Cost less than PS3

Cons:
1) Pay monthly fee to play games online.

PS3 blue ray player, free online game play(security blows but its free so whatever you get what you pay for), little big planet, and you can play certain games from it with your psp over wifi

I have both. The 360 controls are better, Halo is worth buying it alone, console locks up on larger role playing game often.

PS3- BluRay, I think the games that are available for both systems the PS3 runs smoother with them

I think both systems are about even in all respects with the one exception is that the PS3 supports Blu-Ray

I used to have both, currently only have a 360. I voted for the PS3 as I believe hardware wise it is a much better system....and I am a huge fan of Blu-ray. The only reason I got a 360 first the 2nd time around was for the superior online play and the fact that all of my friends have a 360 only.

360 is backward compatible with some of the old Xbox games. It has Halo series and Gears of War series. Download movies from Netflix. Online game is not free but more secure.

Actually as to game wise, I have several game developers on my friends list. One of which was lead character designer for Infinity Ward. In the office they would say for both MW1 and MW2 that the 360 version was of superior quality.
Just because numbers appear to be impressive does not really translate into true performance. I actually think most of my games run alot smoother on the 360 and yes I hate paying for xbox live but it is a hell of alot better then the ps network. I dont know of anyone who thinks the ps3 is better then the 360 now that both have been out for quite sometime. Microsoft hit it big with te 360 like sony did with the ps2. Next gen consoles will be interesting. As to all this motion control stuff trust me I have all 3 and there is nothing funnier then watching my little 5 year old girl just grooving to the kinect. Sony and Wii dont compare.

From what I understand,the games that are backwards compatible aren't even games that you are going to want to go back to.

And it has MGS4,the Uncharted series,the inFamous series,two Killzone games,Little Big Planet 1&2,GT5,MAG,and let's not forget the upcoming Dust 514 that has true potential to be a COD killer.

Sorry,but I've never understood the argument of 360 having better exclusives.Only game that I've EVER wanted to play on 360 was Gears Of War 2,and I really couldn't give a shit about any of their other games.
