, suggests that the UK government is looking to Ban 'violent' porn sites.
I would not disagree with the idea of closing any site that promotes ***** porn, but could this simply be the thin end of the wedge?
Once a law is in place for one type of porn it could quickly be extended to cover more..much more.
I have no interest in anything other than straightforward Porn,
but I also have the right to view whatever else I like on the internet.
However, I fail to see how this could be enforced in any feasible way.
Most of the so-called 'violent' sites are based in foreign countries which either cannot be touched by UK laws or even have their own laws to deal with such sites.
Yes, there are people who can be influenced by '********', but what about violent TV or movies?, have they no blame in promoting ********?
Even the news is full of *******, wars and ******* these days..
The government should concentrate on tackling the sort of crime that affects people everyday... burglary, mugging, theft, ****.
The internet is far from a perfect ideal (well parts of it), but those same parts cannot be held up as a sole contributor for societies ills.
