In the most idiotic EU ruling the 140 year old British law that prisoners cannot vote has been overturned by European Court of Human Rights ruling that the present ban was unlawful.

Prisoners were originally denied the right to vote while serving a sentence under the 1870 Forfeiture Act and the ban was retained in the Representation of the People Act of 1983

People are mostly in prison for infringing someone elses human rights by breaking the law. It seems perfectly sensible that until they have their human rights limited.

That's one of the MANY reasons why we're on our knees.
What are you thinking by way of solutions mate? I reckon we should reindustrialise the North - jobs where they're needed, where they'll work cheapest, keep the money INSIDE the country by buying inside the country and not paying wages abroad.
That's ONE of my solutions anyways.

You know at some point they had to give soldiers in Afghanistan more time on the telephones to their families because - wait for it - somebody found out that guys in prison get more hours on the phone to their families than soldiers!

This guy I know, a teenager, he was constantly getting himself into trouble. It was mainly small crimes, vandalism etc, but the police put him into a program that took him into prison to see what life was like inside. It's obviously meant to put people on the straight and narrow, change their wicked ways. What he saw in side was happy prisoners. Chatting, playing games, watching their individual TVs, eating cooked dinners, and even owning their own xbox's. All at our expense, of course.

Where is that guy now? Prison.
