Priest Formerly Convicted In Sex Scandal, Released - Church Pays Bail

due to a technicality this ******* has been released pending appeal hearing with bail paid for by the Catholic Church. He hid information about ***** **** and was convicted but the law wasn't in place at the time so they had to release him pending new charges.

Great use of parishioner's money to keep pieces of garbage like this free.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A church official who recently won an appeal of his landmark conviction in the priest-***** scandal was released from custody Friday, and the city's Roman Catholic archbishop defended the decision to use church funds to help with bail.

Monsignor William Lynn was staying at an undisclosed location in Philadelphia after being processed at a city jail and being fitted with an electronic monitoring device Friday morning, defense attorney Thomas Bergstrom said. He was due in court Monday for a bail hearing.

Lynn, who left a state prison on Thursday after 18 months behind bars, is the first U.S. church official to have been charged for hiding complaints that priests were ********* ********.

City prosecutors had charged him with felony ***** endangerment, but the state Superior Court ruled that the law that existed at the time did not cover people who did not directly supervise ********.

Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams this week said he would appeal the ruling, and he has criticized the archdiocese for helping Lynn post his $250,000 bail.

Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput said in a Friday letter to clergy and parishioners that helping Lynn come up with $25,000 to post 10 percent of his bail was "both reasonable and just." He said Lynn remains on administrative leave and may not function in public as a priest.

Chaput described the appeals court decision as a matter of legal substance rather than technicalities.

Lynn "presents no danger to anyone," the archbishop wrote. "He poses no flight risk. The funding for his bail has been taken from no parish, school or ministry resources, impacts no ongoing work of the church and will be returned when the terms of bail are completed. Nor does it diminish in any way our determination to root out the possibility of sexual ***** from the life of our local church."

God, the bitch is back/and back/and back/and back/and back/and back/and back/and back/and back.
Tears falling from the pain of another tedious "I **** God and Christians" thread by fatgirlsHateJesus/Mariah Milanoxxx.

Did ya'll hear about the latest diplomatic crisis?
Some tiny Island nation had their entire population of swimming pigs eaten by some ravenous lady tourist...they're pissed.

Once again denial of the conspiracy to protect ***** rapists. How does anyone justify protecting priests who **** **** and then using church goers money to bail them out of jail and pay for their defense? I say throw them into general population and let karma be their punishment.

There is no **** for god because he doesn't exist, and no **** for christians because I know plenty that I care about. I **** the way the church and its leaders continue to protect and choose the side of the pedophiles they harbor. The only way I could imagine someone agreeing with the church on this is if they are like minded.

Anyone who manipulates and dominates under the color of authority is filth. I'd rather have my ****** donate to the poor instead of pick up the legal fees for pedophiles as well. Nothing wrong with God or being a Christian but plenty wrong with The Catholic Church and its officials. I hope The Catholic Church improves itself but it will have to hold itself to account for its own sins.

The technicality bullshit sucks...and I don't condone it, but you have to admit, if anyone was in the situation, they would exploit a technicality. What sickens me the most, is the church continues to back these fuckers up, and for some reason, prison justice NEVER seems to work itself into these guys lives. Any other convict would have a shank in his kidney by the end of the week.

The church is so worried about it's image, it'll deny anything, at any cost, and until they start turning their backs on these sick fuckers, and cut them loose from support, and assistance, they'll continue to thrive.

I wonder if his bail was paid with my pocket money, granny's donations or the proceeds of the porno I made with the clergy. They told me that a little evil was acceptable in the name of the greater good...
