Pornstar Blogs... a waste of time or do you really care what porn chicks have to say?

Ok Freeones..... I am about to take the plunge and set up a blog.

I have resisted but everyone seems to be getting a blog these days. Some of the blogs are full of nothing but clips and postings of girls' appearances. I am thinking of doing a real blog discussing the industry, toys I like, news stories that take my interest etc....

Do you really care what a porn chick has to say or are you just there to see some tits and ass and free clips? I have been doing a blog at my myspace page and folks seem to like it when I get a bit newsy.

Honestly, I would go with your domain, http://www.vickyathome.com and then for the Blog use http://www.vickyathome.com/blog.html is how it would read. That way it's accessible through your site as well and still connected to your site which already has a very high ranking in terms of traffic. It might be an easier way to get instant traffic on it as opposed to starting a whole new domain.

I also think an area where you can easily do daily blurbs or updates taking about your day, the industry, toys, shoots you've just completed, shopping excursions, etc is a great idea. Some may care (fans will) and some may not but I think it verifies that you are in fact real, care about the fan's opinion and your site becomes more interactive and therefore a step above other sites and more appealing so that you'll become richer, hotter and able to buy more cool hats.

Yea, if you have the means, have like 1000 Blogs. I was thinking more about domain management. Having 1000 different domains. It might be easier to just have each Blog be an extension of your main domain which is already popular so that not only do the Blogs send traffic to your site but the site sends traffic to your Blogs. There are tons of places like "Youtube" and not only "Youtube" where you can post semi-dirty stuff and just be you and talk about Lincoln Logs, it sort of doesn't matter. But once you get your Blog, there are thousands of places to submit your Blog to where you do traffic trades.

I just really think anything that shows you're a real person in need of real hats will do you well.

The only pornstar blogs i visit are the ones where there´s something interesting posted. I couldn´t care less about the blogs that´s just there to promote a site.

I think it's a good idea for pornstars to have blogs, not to mention the fact that many famous people have blogs too. It's a good way for pornstars to interact with their fans, let them know how they are, let the fans know what scenes for movies they recently shot for, their latest photo sets, what they get up to outside of porn and get their fans opinions on things and so on.

Its not that you or anyone who blogs doesnt say anything of relevance you may well write about very interesting things, its just that I can be botherd to read it. It does seem like a big waste of time to me :dunno:

But I do not have any fans (that I know of....) so I cant really say whats it like to have people wanting to know things about me, if the shoe was on the other foot maybe I would like blogging, telling my fans what ive been up to and my views on issues in the news etc.

But there isnt a person alive that interests me enough to want to read their blog.

I find opinions interesting. I think its kind of cool to know about porn stars life outside of work.
