A new study, which was recently published in the Journal of Sex Research, claims that female porn stars have a higher self-esteem than women who do not perform in the adult industry, reports the Toronto Sun.

Of course, there's plenty of folks who would argue with this finding as porn stars are generally abused, drugged up little things that can't fend for themselves...

So what do YOU think?

You could argue it's in the word "Porn Stars" - I would say stars, who live well from their image and popularity, may have a higher self-esteem on average. I hope so!
Some unknown, more amateur like sex workers, especially from poorer countries, may feel more abused or exploited.

Personally I like Porn Stars - no matter if famous or not btw -, who have a confident appeal! (You never know for sure anyway.)
Plus I hate male performers and producers who are assholes! They make me sick.

Just thinking from a logical perspective, and I know exceptions exist, it's probably generally easier for people to have more self esteem when they are more attractive than others. Porn stars seem to be on the upper end of the attractiveness scale. Considering their job a lot of them probably care much less about what others think about them.
