yes, over the years it has almost been something like an addiction but now i haven't watched any porn for weeks and i don't miss it at all
the reason is that porn has become so repetitive (clichéd but true), i mean i have seen almost all kinds of porn movies but most of them are crap anyway

what do you think? is porn an addiction and are you trying "get away" from it? what really helped me is the fact that most porn actresses are in no way adorable or something (not even their looks in most cases), these "behind the scenes"-footages showed me that they are actually as stupid and naive and just plain disgusting as they presented themselves to be in the movies

i know many porn stars think that we "need" them, that they're therefore even kind of superior to us but this is not true at all, actually we use them, we don't care about individual ones of them because when they retire at the age of 28 or die of suicide or hiv there'll be plenty of new ones and the whole thing starts all over again

maybe it's just that for me, sex isn't important as i used to think and it's ultimately not (the only thing) i "long for"

i wish you the best to also come to this conclusion because life gets much easier without porn, positive side effect: you waste less time on your pc, it ultimately won't "satisfy" anyone anyway, it's just pathetic and makes you depressed

Well...yeah. Except for a very select few, porn actresses are dumb whores with no self esteem and usually no fucking class. And the worse thing is that most of them don't even know it, which leads to.....

If I go 2 weeks in a row of surfing for porn I come away feeling a bit depressed. I feel like I'm wasting my time and life away sometimes. It feels very formulaic and "processed" today. The other thing is that the girls, today, seem to cut 10 scenes and then they bail the business alltogether. The girls that I liked 4 years ago...I doubt I even watch or remember them today because they're gone today.

I do take a lot longer between "wank" sessions now. I usually go 3-6 days because it simply takes too much time to find something that truly gets me hard if I check stuff every other day. It's too much "same 'ol same 'ol." I had a subsciption to WantedList last year. I'm thinking of going back to that because the movies come every 7 days and that's about the perfect duration for me nowadays. The problem with WantedList was that a lot of the movies I wanted to rent were queued up for weeks...it sucked to have dig around for a movie you thought MIGHT have a scene or two that was interesting...

I think everyone does reach a point where porn just gets too routine.

For some, their interest in porn drops because their favorite model does something unexpected like go hardcore. No need to name names.

For me, my interest has dropped tenfold recently because my favorite model is retiring from the business. Nobody else holds my interest the same way.

I feel like it's lost its luster for me as well. I never "use" it anymore. I figured the last time I tried to crank one off while watching porn, I spent 30 minutes just getting bored and frustrated, so I just quit. That's happened more than once too, so I come here for the people.

I have never been a compulsive porn addict. I was renting 3 VHS (3 VHS for the price of 2 on Friday, to bring back Sunday night) every 2 weeks or so. That was from about 1995 to beginning of 2000s, Sometimes a bit more, but not that much. And I enjoyed it.

But then came gonzo and all the so-called amateurs, teens, MILF, gang-banged grannies and all the internet specialized niche sites. I found that so boring that I completly stopped watching porn for a few years.

Then at work on some guy's computer I saw a girl and wanted to know more. It took me a long time and I had to look at lots of clips and sites, forums like this one, etc.

I got interested to watch some porn again but when I want some, I look for scenes of the porn of the 90s. And that is once in a while.

Personnally, before internet-is-for-porn, to go out to a video store, look at covers for hopefully findind a good movie, etc, was part of the enjoyment, some ritual.
Now that it is right here at home, all over the net, free and easy to get at anytime, it has lost some appeal. Also all these sites and porn in general are so repetitve (to my liking) that I don't even bother looking at them. It became like some useless habit I could get rid of. And I did.

LadyLove's question is a good one. What am I doing in a porn forum if I am not really into it ?

While I was looking for that girl, I found out 2 things:
1. I like glamour and nude photography. No sex, beautiful girls getting naked and beautiful photogaphy. (No porn feeling)
2. I like to do searches on interrnet looking for these girls. It became a hobby, instead of watching TV or whatever. I never know the girls I look for. I start from scratch and try to find more. I post what I found (if I did) and move on.

That's my fun here, porn is not much part of it... but I think I will have lost interest anyway. It is someting I did for awhile, is gone... but it may come back, who knows ?

I'll finish (it's about time:o) by saying that we may all have different reasons to like porn. We don't look at it the same way and for the same motivation.
And getting bored or always liking it may depend more of these reasons that porn itself.

I don't watch much US porn. The little I have viewed of late is very misogynistic - which I hate. It seems to be populated by skanks and scarecrow's with their awful tattoos, piercings and bruises.

I'm only really interested in Britporn. That has also gone downhill of late. The pornbirds I am interested in have retired or are in the process of retiring.

Overall I can take it or leave it. I'm certainly not, or have even been, obsessed with porn. I adopt the attitude that 90% of porn is crap and work from that stance.
