This site is pretty cool. A little different spin on political leanings. If you have a few minutes, take the test. The results are interesting. Then cast a poll vote on where you ended up.

I....no big surprise....am Libertarian Liberal (Libertarian Left)....right near Ghandi.

Just to clarify (I fucked up the poll options) "left" is "liberal" and "right" is "conservative". Should be obvious but....

 :wtf:

I scored exactly the same as you. Right near Ghandi, Libertarian Left. I clicked mostly agree or disagree. Not to much on the strongly agree or disagree. I guess I don't feel that strongly either way.

I might just be lazy, but thats a long questionnaire.

Mine came out as Libertarian Conservative, which is what I voted for before taking the test.

Good test.

Yes Kungfudude that's why I mentioned to take the test when you have a few minutes available. For me, it was interesting enough to be worth it. Others may not think so. C'est le vie.

Wow, when I compare where I am with Gandhi, they look dead-on, although I may be a little more Liberal than even him!

Of course, this is no surprise to me, I have always been a left-winger. I clicked mainly agree/disagree, but also had quite a few strongly disagrees, and some strongly agrees.

So I came out just a bit on the Authoritarian conservative type, but barely, and I thought I was to the right of Ashcroft, I guess I'm not that far right, more like Paul Martin. Though I still believe I'm a bit more far right than W.

I'm almost gandhi!

and its shocking just how far right bush is, I hate him even more now, and did anyone else notice that NO ONE on the right was in the bottom section.

wow, I scored liberal leftist. surprise, surprise. not that it so encompasses me, just that I know the bullshit thinking of these people and that's what they'd say I was.

I say that it's bullshit because if you asked a bushman what his political leaning was, he'd say "what does political mean?" and you'd say "well, it means what group do you belong to?" and he'd say the name of his tribe. and you'd say, "No, I mean how do you figure out what to do?" and he'd say "I do what I need to." and then you'd say, "ok. but who shows you what to do?" and he'd say, "the people of my tribe." and you'd say, "who is the leader of your tribe?" and he's say, "the oldest and wisest person." and you'd ask, 'and how did he become the leader?" and he'd say, "I just told you, because he's the oldest and knows the most things." and you'd say "ok. what do you believe?" and he'd say, "what does that mean?" and you'd ask, "what is the first thing you were taught?" and he'd say, "the lion eats the gazelle. I'm slower then the gazelle is, so I stay away from the lion."

I believe I'm defined as "Libertarian Left", but a bit more centrist than Gandhi.

Pretty accurate, I'd say.

To be honest, I think politics is too complex a subject to correctly pin down in these type of tests. I wouldn't worry too much about if it's a scientifically correct test or it it's even that accurate.

I'm almost halfway down the Libertarian scale, and one notch to the right. None of the famous people is even close to me (which is yet one more reason why the world is so screwed up :thefinger ).

I enjoy surveys like this. There are a couple questions that drew my attention though:

"A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all
the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system."

Am I agreeing to the statement or the premise? The last thing I ever want is a one-party state, but it is advantageous, obviously.

"Multinational companies are unethically exploiting
the plant genetic resources of developing countries."

:helpme: :wtf: I have no idea what that means. I must have missed that issue of TIME.

Other than that, good times. I'm comfortable with where I'm at on the scale.

I'm pretty much right on the midway line between Libertarian and Authoritarian. And just a click to the 'right'.

I came out -1.13 and -4.56.

Most of my answers were all or nothing - kinda like me.

I believe in free market economy with large enviornmental restrictions. And I believe in the will of the people and freedom of information to all, about almost all.

But I still want to be king of the world! :)
