what did Australia ever do to them?

I say we call his bluff and dare him to do it and if we're wrong and he nukes Australia we issue a stern warning not to do it again.

Not to mention turning a post-apocalyptic wasteland we see in the movies into a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Agree but somewhere down the line one of their missile tests are going to fail again. Land someplace in another country that won't be very understanding of the situation.

BS on the account that if his missiles had the ability to strike any metropolitan area in Australia (i.e. the south), that means he has the capability to strike the West coast of the US mainland. The tests so far only have Guam as a theoretical limit; if he developed something that could hit the continental US you can bet that would be the "red line" for the US to finally intervene.

For shits and giggles though, it would be nice if they shot down one of those test missiles just to call his bluff.
