Pin Tab - How is it supposed to work.

I am confused!

This is supposed to be an option to pin pictures, however, if you try and select a picture and pin it, you get the error "Direct Linking to a Picture is not Allowed".
This appears to be somewhat counter-intuitive!

Can someone explain how you can pin a picture without specifying a picture? :dunno:

i would say the larger thumbs are pretty nice and easy to use and can usually always be pinned.

also, the actual pics on freeones always work rather well. the ones like these: http://photos.freeones.com/v_various/Twistys/Sasha_Grey_002/

they accept the large ones when pinned.

This is build in to protect the copyright owner.

For example you can pin this:
http://photos.freeones.com/v_various/Pornfidelity/Eva_Notty_002/html/photo_002.shtml

But you can not pin the direct image:
http://photos.freeones.com/v_various/Pornfidelity/Eva_Notty_002/images/03.jpg

So the picture need to be on a page, if that makes sense.

PPS, go to a page with pins and click on the actual image, it takes you to the page the image is on (the source), this might make it more clear.

PPPS, just hit the pin it! button on some pages to see what you can pin.

For example when you do that here: http://videos.freeones.com/m_babes/Miss_Hybrid/20759/ you will see that you can pin the thumbs.

It's because the images are too small on that page. Right now it doesn't have the technology to go and grab the bigger image behind the thumb, unfortunately.

With that being said, there ARE sample galleries it works on. Just not all of them.

Thats working however since the Miss Hybrid forum is closed clicking on the image will bring a person to the login page. Just an fyi

Ah! Good point. You'll just have to get your programmers working on grabbing the target images from the thumbnails. Should be quite simple really.

As it stands now, if you go into an image gallery and click on the image, if it opens in a frame you can pin it. If it opens the image directly... you're out of luck. So yeah, that's kind of annoying, because a lot of legitimate sample galleries link directly to the image, and the pin function doesn't work with thumbnails. So you're right, that should definitely be addressed.

Also... I found it failed a lot (Win8, Firefox 24.0). I'd click to pin an image and the window would open but... nothing would load. It would stay blank. And that could happen at any stage. When looking for an image to pin, after selecting an image to pin and moving to the naming screen, or after moving to the confirmation screen. That last one is the worst since you end up not knowing if it went through or not (which I why I ended up accidentally pinning one image twice, since I didn't know it had successfully pinned the first time I'd tried... which out of all the times it failed at the confirmation screen was the only time that image actually got pinned, all others it just failed and I had to start over).

Could you perhaps elaborate on what it is that seems to not be working properly, if we don't have any information we cant take any action.
