Why do we always accuse each other of getting worked up? We're all good here. See, I use this smiley, but people still think I'm pissed.

I asked my question because I re-visited a forum that I had left years before. In the political section.....it was like the 19th hole at a golf course. A bunch of guys just hangin' out, agreeing with whatever the OP was. Regardless of subject, no dissenting opinion, no one challenging anyone else's assumptions. It really was an indescribable snoozefest. I could go on about how I did challenge one OP (in a polite way) and got immediately surrounded by barbwire whips, but enough about me. :surprise:

When I read the prevailing sentiments around here I get a very real sense of "be careful what you wish for." :nono:
