Peter Frampton’s iconic 3 pickup Les Paul comes alive again

This guitar was lost in 1980 after the cargo plane carrying it crashed in Venezuela. He was told that it burned but it actually survived and was stolen. Someone acquired it a few years later and after 32 years Peter was reunited with it. It is the guitar he used during the 70’s during the height of his popularity and is shown on the Frampton Comes Alive album cover. He had Gibson to make it playable again but he had them to leave some of the fire damage and battle scars on it.

Cool story

The new formatting has me confused. If someone wants to embed I would appreciate it.

He discusses it here. I always liked Frampton and I forgive him for the blasphemous Sgt Pepper movie he did with the Bee Gee’s . Although Aerosmith did a great cover of Come Together.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
You couldn't wire 2....now you want to add a 3rd into the mix?

Those 3-pickup-Les Pauls are really works of wonder! Your embedding flunked, because you just used the wrong button. You wrapped the Youtube link in url-code, which just makes the link which is already clicklable clickable a second time. You should try this button:

That one wraps video links into the code that embedds them like this:

Do you knoe the "Norman's Rare Guitar" Youtube channel? I am subscribed and watch it all the time. Norm showcased one of those guitars some time ago, I looked the video up for you.

Those LP Customs ("Fretless Wonder") seem to be rather highly sought after

I have actually been to Norman’s Rare Guitars. Christopher Guest was wearing a Norman’s T-shirt in This Is Spinal Tap. I could easily spend my retirement in there in a day if I wanted to. I like the YouTube video you posted. It tells the story better I think.

I have the feeling you and me could make some great music together, if we ever got on a stage with our favorite gear. I sadly can't play guitar anymore, because my hands are a little numb from neuropathy. I got real better at congas etc and my singing got WAY better through my journey with booze, as many old crooners will tell you :)
