Only 1-in-4 Think America Is On The Right Track

"Just 24 percent of Americans believe the country is heading in the right direction after a tumultuous stretch for ... Trump that included the threat of war with North Korea, stormy complaints about hurricane relief and Trump's equivocating about white supremacists," per AP's Julie Pace and Emily Swanson:

-"That's a 10-point drop since June, according to a poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research."
-Why it matters: "The decline in optimism about the nation's trajectory is particularly pronounced among Republicans. In June, 60 percent of Republicans said the country was headed in the right direction; now it's just 44 percent."

P.S. Banner of yesterday's USA Today, "Poll portrays an unhappy America," by Susan Page and Julia Fair: "Americans overwhelmingly disagree with President Trump ... But a USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll also finds an unusual disconnect: Americans are increasingly optimistic about the nation's economy."

Ok. Have never been a fan of the right track/wrong track poll. The poll never tells you who they blame. The numbers were similar during the Obama years. Majority said the country is on wrong track. But could have both Democrats and Republicans saying country is wrong track. Democrats because of Republican intransigence. Republicans because of Obama policies. Fast forward to 2017. Democrats say wrong track because of Trump policies. Republicans say wrong track because of Democrat intransigence

These are the same pollsters who claimed Hilldebeast would win in a historic landslide. So, no.

Neoliberalism. Which is really classical liberalism, or right-wing economics - but because the word 'liberal' has been so tied up in social libertarianism and thus stuck onto Democrats, the term was essentially re-invented. Which is all to say: Every administration and congress has ascribed to this economic theory since at least Nixon (that's when it hit the gas, anyway).

So this poll suffers from the same issues as those? Can you elaborate on those issues?

No issues. Just puppets dancing on the end of their puppet strings. Master gives them a line, they repeat the line. Dance little puppets, dance. But of course, me saying that makes me a (another one of my favorites), "Soros paid troll". Dance little puppets, dance.
