Here's the "official" thread for all the members who are in college. I think there's quite a few so it should work out well.
This is the place to bitch about classes, moan over the hot babes on campus and brag about how much you can drink the night before a midterm and still pass.

I'm still in college... but not easy to get a girl when you're 29 and all the in school have just 18-19 years old...

So watching the teachers is sometime more interesting !

Ive got good Lab Partners for once!!!!

And your not gonna believe me, but They are ALL FUCKING FINE AS HELL. Its groups of four and its a pure psych class. People in other majors don't get the class.

Its Research Methods and Statistics. Only it goes toward the Psychological field. So there are like 3 guys out of 25 students in the class. And I always sit with my friend... So we and two other girls joined the group.

I can hardly think about work with them around. Nothing has happened of course... cus Im married, but I can fantasize.

And they are really great partners to. We are the only group actually working on it all together. Everyone contributes.

You're lucky that you get partners in your research class, Goblin! I had to design and conduct a research project all on my own....that sucked I was the only sophomore to ever take that class, lol....and now I know why!

I got a cool professor though. So its been more Research Methods and less statistics.

The lab is making a survey.

We have a different class for stats. We had to make our own instrument, give it out, grade it, then do the stats and write a publication-worthy paper....all in one damn semester

I'm in the school of life does that count? My job requires that I stay up to date with the latest stuff. Got out of "school" to find out that everyone wants a person with on the job experience..

Biggest bitch is new demands that are full of bugs. That is for computer related ventures of course. Bill Gates is about to get his own Murphy law I bet.

I worked for a Career Services office for a semester.

Employers want Education as much as they want experience. It doesn't bother me at all though... Im prior Military and I have 3 years of office experience under my belt. So I shouldn't have problems.

If you couldn't find a job when you left school you either.

A) Didn't want to leave the area or drive over a half-an-hour one way.

B) Your school had the worst career guidance in the world.

or

C) (But I doubt this is you) You were too lazy to go out and look for a job so you just posted resumes and sent them out randomly.

Yea... a lot of English/Journalist/Writing Majors are over dramatic and have over dramatic lives.


HAHAHA Just kidding. If your life is chaotic set aside like 30 minutes a day to writing in a journal. It really helped me... I just right about the stuff I think about... Every thought gets a paragraph. And I read it back everyday and see if I solved anything.

Also I got a planner... Worked wonders too.

Anyone have any ideas as far as employment goes for a english /literature major. I have a friend that can't seem to come up with any ideas (who's majoring in it).:hatsoff:

Tell him... Good Luck with that. English/Literature is something people all around the world study. Its hard to find a job with that major. Tell him to go on and get his masters.
