Communism is a socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general.Karl Marx posited that communism would be the final stage in human society, which would be achieved through a proletarian revolution. "Pure communism" in the Marxian sense refers to a classless, stateless and oppression-free society where decisions on what to produce and what policies to pursue are made democratically, allowing every member of society to participate in the decision-making process in both the political and economic spheres of life.
Fascism is a radical, authoritarian nationalist ideology that aims to create a single-party state with a government led by a dictator who seeks national unity and development by requiring individuals to subordinate self-interest to the collective interest of the nation or race.
No, it's the worst thread I've seen in ages. I even considered (but decided against it) to neg rep the OP for creating a thread obviously based on nothing but thin air...
I'm just getting tired of dems constantly whining about how they had to give up civil rights when Bush was the president & the reps constantly whining that they have to give up some of their money....
Both should be glad they don't live in a country like Zimbabwe or Somalia!
Well, I'm not sure I agree with your characterization of the situation. Firstly, far too many Dems were on board with the Patriot Act and various other instruments that have worked to erode civil rights (and I say that as someone who's NOT a Democrat - is that whining?), and the Dems in DC - including Obama - are hardly taking strong actions to turn around many of the Bush administration's intrusions on civil rights.
Most importantly though, I think it's a bad idea to set such miserable situations as those in Zimbabwe or Somalia as benchmarks for the U.S. Are you saying people ought not to complain until things get as bad as they are in THOSE countries? Of course, if everyone stops "whining" then they almost certainly WILL get that bad....
:dunno:

It's disturbing how some people can only see things in extreme black and white.
Obama is amazing. He has such magnetism, such charisma. Its awe inspiring just to see him on TV. If I actually met him, I reckon I'd be speechless.
