NY Governor Linked to Prostitution Ring

It's good to be the king...
I'm not surprised at all. It's the same with any holy roller in a position of power that makes a case to end "sins against society". They usually are saying things to cover up their guilt underneath.

On the other side, why don't we legalize it, tax it and make standards. It's the longest running business in human history and we like to pretend it doesn't exist. What a joke. It's not like he's selling smack to grade schoolers...that we know of.

There was a story in a very red county of colorado of a 39 year old woman running a prostitution ring out of her house...again, legalize it and we'll get more money to fight our wars all over the world.

Two things I would say is one notice who the newspaper is that is reporting the story, the "New York Times" which is routinely criticized as being biased. This story goes against that arguement.

The New York Times (like most media) is biased (a lot more often than not towards liberals). You can't take one example of anecdotal evidence to show it isn't. The fact it would have come out sooner or later considering they had already wire tapped him makes the matter moot. It was so obvious that no matter how biased one is it couldn't be denied.

As far as him hiring prostitutes, on a personal level I don't have a big problem with somebody doing it if that's all he did. That isn't the case, he did even more than that. Like a lot of people out there I have an even bigger problem with the sheer hypocrisy he has been using.

I don't see it that way at all.I think they cover lots of story's but then again I don't buy any of this so-called liberal bias stuff in the media anyway. They all tow the corporate line pretty much and never really challenge a lot of things people on the left think ought to be challenged.Thats maybe the problem whats considered in the middle in this country is so far right that the middle looks left lol. Where is the drumbeat from this media to impeach the worst prez ever who has admitted ********* our constitutional rights. And lets not forget Judith Miller the NY times reporter who was used to feed all kinds of propaganda about Iraq from the Bush administration and then was involved with Scooter Libby and the Valerie Plame(the outed CIA agent) affair.

Couldn't be govt. funds. A couple of reasons:

Governments always do things based on the lowest bidder possible (And I'm sure this guy could have found a prostitute for less than 4300).

Second- if the govt. *was* to hire a high priced call girl/prostitute/etc, then no matter what she charged, the government would automatically contract with her to pay her five times that much.

:1orglaugh

So very true!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes- I worked in govt. for a long time. They don't do much right, but they do loves them some money-spendin'!

Spitzer: I've Been Screwed

NY Guv Answers Prostie Charges

Embattled New York Governor Eliot Spitzer held a hastily scheduled press conference to answer charges that he patronized a prostitution ring, telling reporters, "I've been screwed."

While Mr. Spitzer refused to elaborate on his comment, he added for emphasis, "I've been screwed and it's cost me a lot."

Aides to the New York governor applauded him for responding quickly to the charges but across the state political observers wondered if he had raised more questions than he had answered.

Mr. Spitzer, who has endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), did receive a vote of support from her husband, former President Bill Clinton, who offered to "take over his position" if the governor is ****** to step down.

"I am happy to perform all of the roles that Eliot has been performing," Mr. Clinton said, adding that he had the experience to make crucial phone calls at 3 A.M.

All New Yorkers unite to request the resignation of Eliot Spitzer.

Eliot Spitzer not only betrayed his ******, but betrayed all New Yorkers.

The issue is not just using a prostitute, but ***** of power. Someone arranged the New York Governor to check into the Mayflower Hotel for at least $400.00 a night and Eliot Spitzer spent from $3,500.00-$5,500.00 for a few hours with a high price prostitute. That someone used his name to check into the hotel and allowed the Governor spent "good time" using tax money.

Do you think Eliot Spitzer travelled to Washington, D.C. on his private account. Hell No ! Eliot Spitzer ****** his power to waste tax money to travel to Washington, D.C. and arranged the prostitute to travel from NY to Washington, D.C. too !

May be Her Majesty The Honorable Mrs. Hillary Clinton should pick Eliot Spitizer as V.P. and running mate. Bill and Eliot make a good pair at the White House !

Both Bill and Eliot can make the 3 A.M. call at the Mayflower Hotel at Washington ! :nanner:

I personally think prostitution should be legalized and taxed. I really wouldn't care, but this guy is such a self-righteous asshole... I do feel bad for his wife and three *********. Hopefully Mrs. Spitzer has enough brains to bail on this douchebag.

Facetious

Moderated
You'd think that the former atty. gen.of NY state would have enough sense to pay cash only !

This guy was / is a hitman of sorts . . Mr Wiretap himself !

How do these kind actually get their "wives " to agree to stand by their sides at the press conferences . . . ? I don't understand !! lol

We should ask Hillary that question at the next debate...

As Eliot Spitzer tendered his resignation in ********, Mrs. Hillary lost another superdelegates.

The score this week on superdelegates:

Clinton -1 (Eliot Spitzer) vs Obama +4

If a superdelegate dies or resign in ********, he or she will not be replaced.

God saves America !

I am astonished that she was standing next to him.

He was quoted as being the customer that was searching for uncovered/unprotected sex.

I mean his scandal is bad enough (not the visits as much as the financing, time and money spent). But, then he has to tell his wife that he wanted (and mybe got) bareback action? :wtf:

They always stand by their husbands in the beginning. Who knows why. It's pretty hypocritical that he spent most of his time in office touting how many high-end prostitution rings that he helped to bust. *sigh* I **** politicians.

all may not be lost

now you folks have a bonafide ''victim'' of the Patriot Act :1orglaugh
