Noob or not so Noob gaming.

Just realised something myself while playing Fallout 4 (Game of the year) and I was wondering what everyone's favourite noob experience or not so noob (played for ages and only just realised something) experiences were.

My Fallout 4 one:
Last night, it just hit me that I could put down concrete foundations on uneven ground and give myself nice flat platforms for dropping buildings onto instead of having floating buildings all over the place. I should note that I played Fallout 4 on the PS4 and I've been playing it on and off on the PC for a very, very long time.

A recent noob moment? Hrm.
I cant say I really have any, cuz I dont approach games that would give me such a thing.

Like, I got Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis on my steam acct. (one of 'em) I would actually like to set down and learn the whole thing, and they've been on the agenda for more than a decade.

Mebbe I'm the odd one out, but I do a lotta homework on what a game can offer, beforehand. Which.. is boring AF and I guess I'm too elitist to play .. eh, popular games? Extremely niche games? (Other than disgaea, but that comes from an intense desire to play FFT style games for hundreds of hours, and for 2 reasons.. they're bite-sized (got 10 minutes? Then you can make progress.) and I feel super free to just progress at my leisure. ... which actually makes it stressful, cuz I jam the difficulty super high ASAP.

So.. noob moments? OH SHIT I GOT ONE.

So I started on borderlands 3 cuz I felt a 5 year old game is mebbe old enough to start on. So I'm going thru the game and they're becoming more bullet-spongey and I'm just wondering.. dude, do I gotta do something special to stay current? I'm keeping the leveled orange-tier stuff and the enemies just arent minding it. I take cover, I double up on special attacks, I take the high ground and proceed cautiously, ya know? So I'm on sanctuary and it just occurs to me.. one of the (well, two) best guns in the game is from Moxxi, so long as you keep tipping her.

Lo and behold I'm back to one-shotting and being current. I guess I just needed to explore my options, eh?
