Nobel Prize winner Norman Borlaug dies at 95

Known as the father of the "green revolution," Borlaug won the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in combating world hunger.

I knew who he was. That is to say, I knew what he acheived. Having grown up in Iowa and attending the World Food Prize events a few times his name was mentioned more than a few times.

So long, Norman Borlaug. We hardly knew ye (literally. And yes, his death saddens me greater than the begloved one's did).
